Visit Derawan - Kakaban - Maratua - Sangalaki

What's up guys, well holiday just finished, guess what? I visit Derawan ha..ha..
Once more, never think going there for ied holiday until a friend text me and throw that idea in to my head, without to much thinking i just decided, Just Go.ha,,,ha...

Ok, as my promise, this the story and the way to get to Derawan. Derawan Island located in Borneo, already near to Philiphine. I thoungt before Derawan is the bigest island among three island, Maratua, Kakaban and Sangalaki but actually the big one is Maratua but mostly the Guest house and cottage located in Derawan maybe because this the closed island to the nearest port Tanjung Batu.

How to get there... ?
It is easy, there are two ways to get there, first via Tarakan and second via Bureau, but what i have been done was via Bureau. I bought ticket flight from Jakarta to Bureau, and luckily i got promo Garuda for 1 million Rupiah, this is my first time use Garuda. I am excited. ha,,ha..ha.., but for back home I got more expensive, i buy in last minute for 1.5 million rupiah, hmm over budget.
Well fare prices during no holiday season is 800 - 1.2 million rupiah. During the flight, cause this is my first flight with garuda, i would like to watch movie, and i got problem. I don't know where to plug in my headset, i touched all the surrounding the lcd tv, but i can't find the hole, upss. i saw the others next to me, i can't see where is he plug the headset, until i saw my seat handle and there u go there are two hole for headset. Damn (too bad for the fans of LCC)

U will flight for around 2 hrs from Jakarta to Balikpapan and transit to Bureau. If your flight to bureau still have time for transit u can explore Sepinggan International Airport, the airport is huge, but many retail or tenant still not open, but u still can find Sturbucks; Keris; foodstore; etc.
For me i walked around the Sepinggan, even i went out for a while and saw some yellow taxi that different from Jakarta taxi, they use family car not sedan.
For transit, frrom arrival lobby u will go to L.3 sepinggan airport, I eat first before flight on the airport which is still fasting days.
Flight to Kalimarau is with garuda Boomber, this flight seat 2 by 2 seat, small plane, upss
During the check-in I don't know why Garuda swith my seat to business class, well why not. Thank You.

Arrive in Kalimarau Bureau airport, Kalimarau is small airport but still in nice condition, i think this airport just renovate. But when i and my friend wanna stay for while inside the airport because we want to wait our friend on the next flight, the Airport staff ask us to out, because the will locked the arrival gate, that was new for us, that the arrival gate open and close. But anyway we follow his instruction to wait outside.

During waiting the other travel mate, we talked to local people and gather some information about Derawan and other spot to visit and we found out there is one spot located five hrs from aiport called Bidu-Bidu (Labuhan Cermin) which is when my friend browse it, it was amazing.
